We carry out audits of our member’s sites, both planned, and unannounced.  Audit performance forms a vital part of an organisation’s continued membership and helps improve standards in the asbestos industry.

ACAD’s team of auditors conduct inspections.  As well as identifying areas for improvement, ACAD recognises members who go above and beyond current standard practice and who work to exemplary standards.

To recognise the efforts of ACAD members who are displaying the very best standards, ACAD awards our Certificate in Excellence. In addition we issue annual awards to the organisations which excel in our audit process. The ‘Excellence in Audit’ award goes to the organisation which has achieved the highest overall score during our site audits and the ‘Leading Best Practice’ award goes to the organisation which is exceeding the legal requirements and displaying the most aspirational standards in their work.

ACAD also offers a Pre Licence Renewal Assessment (PLRA) during which our experienced team conduct a mock licence assessment interview and report any potential gaps.

During this process we went through 2 levels of assessment from the excellent and very knowledgeable assessor. Initially a full HSE type assessment was undertaken and points for consideration and improvement were logged.
