ACAD Secures £44,000 of Funding for NVQ Achievement

ACAD, the organisation leading the Asbestos sector, has successfully led a bid to CITB that has secured up to £44,000 of funding to support the delivery of L2 NVQs for asbestos removal operatives.  This means ACAD members can obtain an NVQ for the net cost of around £250!

The Asbestos sector has known that NVQs have been coming in since way back in January 2015 when the CLC decision was made public.  From that date routes to blue skilled worker cards that were not NVQs, such as refresher training certificates and other certificated qualifications were no longer viable for the long term.

ACAD Manager Graham Warren commented ‘ACAD has been working to create funding routes to attract money into the sector to support this transition and this latest success will support another 100 operatives in gaining their NVQ via the OSAT route.  NVQ represents the future of the Licensed Asbestos sector and, I for one, am embracing the challenge head on and working to ensure all ACAD members will take this in their stride.’

Numbers are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis so do not delay in contacting ACAD…
